E-Governance

E-Governance is a facility  about the delivery of on-line civic  services to the Public. The Government  of   TamilNadu  is planned to   introduce  this   project  in all the  102  Municipalities and  in  all  the 49  third Grade Municipalities .

                             E-Governance at THIRUVATHIPURAM   Municipality is aimed to provide on-line citizen services. Citizens are approaching the local bodies to pay their Revenue tax items, to get certificates and for Building Planning approvals etc.     This technology provides most of the civic services rendered by the  URBAN LOCAL  BODIES  in a user friendly  manner  by using  information and  Communication technology .By using the Computers of this Municipality , the on-line  issue of Birth  and Death certificates, Revenue  tax collection items  etc.,  are facilitated through these Computing Systems.

                In this  Municipality  one server   and other  clients  are connected  by Local  Area Networks . A facilitation counter is already opened  for the issue of   Birth and Death  certificates by on-line   . Necessary steps have been taken to  set-up   collection centres  outside the Municipal Office premises to remit taxes for the  convenience of the public.

Adopting E-Governance, the citizen services activities are simplified and made possible at the near facilitation centres and also at the information and facilitation counter at the Municipality. Through E-Governance, the services of  Thiruvathipuram   Municipality can be made easily accountable and quickly receipts for revenue dues are   issued to public.

v      D & O and PFA (Trade licence).

v      Application on other items.

v      Collection details etc
