The E-governance has ensured transparency and the residents can easily know

database server of the Municipality is connected with the Facilitation
Counter by means of Local Area Net Work and Two Collection Centers at
Municipal Old office, Maternity Centre and at Punjab National Bank Namakkal
by means of LAN Extender. So people can pay their Tax dues through any one
of the above said 4 Centers. The Regional Director of Municipal
Administration Office is connected with the Municipal Server by means of
Wide Area Net Work and Dynamic Website is working within the region. Touch
Screen Software is implemented in the Facilitation counter. So people they
themselves operate the System and they can retrieve their balance and
collection details with out the help of Municipal Staff.
The required Server Client Software Modules were installed on 14.11.2002 and
the required data have been fed and brought up to date. The Computerized
Collection Centre was already established in March 2003 and serves to the
satisfaction of the Tax payers and other general Public. It commends
commendation of all sections of people. The Municipal Staff are trained to
issue computerized receipts for the taxes they receive in the Service
Counters. The details of Birth and Death are updated by the Municipal staff.
Sanitary Inspectors are also able to issue Computerized Birth and Death
Certificated because of the training imparted to them.
