ABOUT MUNICIPALITY
Dharmapuri
Municipality was constituted during year 1964 and it was upgraded as Grade-I
Municipality from 01.10.1987 and now upgraded as Selection Grade
Municipality as per G.O.No.
238 on 02.12.2008. The entire area of Velle GoundanPalayam
Revenue village was included within the jurisdiction of the Municipality.
Dharmapuri Municipality is the District Head Quarters Town. As per 2001
census the population of this town is 64496.
