Hosur was constituted as a Panchayat in the 1992 . This town is became Selection grade Town Panchayat in the year 1962 and was upgraded to Second Grade Municipality in the Year 1992.

As per the G.O.5 of MAWS Dept. Dt.15.01.1992 it was upgraded to Selection Grade Municipality in the year 1998 and it is still continuing... more
