E-Governance at Gobichettipalayam Municipality is aimed to provide online citizen services, information to all hierachies and monitor performance. It is in practice that citizens are approaching the respective municipality to pay their tax dues like Property Tax, Water charges, Professional Tax and Non- Tax Items, get certificates like Birth and Death to get approvals for construction of Buildings and run a business etc.,

Adopting E-governance, the above activities are to simplified and made possible at their nearest Banks, Citizen centres and information and Facilitation counters. By E-governance, the services of Gobichettipalyam Municipality can be made easy, transparent, accountable and quick. The citizens may be informed about their dues and revenue generation will be faster and easier.

With the developments in communication and Information Technology, the Database server of Gobichettipalayam Municipality is connected with the citizen centres, Banks and information and Facilitation counters by Local Area Network (LAN) Wide Area Network (WAN) and a Dynamic website.

Any citizen can use the Dynamic Website from any where in the world, to get the citizen services from Sevalaya. Similarly, Administrator can monitor the performance of the ULB’s for decision making at Desktop.
